I Tried Amazon’s New Kindles. Buy This Accessory Instead (2026)

A new, affordable Bluetooth page-turner is now available for recent Kindles, simplifying page navigation and accessibility.

Amazon has released the Kindle Click, a Bluetooth page-turning accessory designed for its 2024 and 2026 Kindle e-readers. This handheld remote allows users to turn pages, scroll, and adjust screen brightness without touching their device. It offers a more integrated and convenient experience compared to previous third-party solutions that often involved screen-blocking clips and separate charging. The Kindle Click charges via USB-C and comes with a wrist strap. While a more expensive integrated page-turning cover for newer Kindle models exists, the Click is presented as a more affordable and versatile alternative, compatible with a wider range of recent Kindle generations. The accessory launched last week and is currently experiencing shipping delays.

The Kindle Click's release signals Amazon's move to offer more integrated, yet less expensive, hardware accessories for its e-reader ecosystem. This accessory addresses a long-standing user desire for a more seamless page-turning experience, directly competing with clunkier third-party solutions and Amazon's own premium, model-specific accessories. By supporting both 2024 and 2026 models, it broadens the potential user base beyond the very latest devices, though users with older Kindles may still need to upgrade.

This development presents a more compelling value proposition for Kindle users seeking enhanced comfort and accessibility, particularly those with mobility issues or who simply prefer hands-free operation. The Click's lower price point compared to the integrated page-turning cover makes advanced e-reader functionality more attainable, potentially influencing purchasing decisions for those considering a new e-reader or an upgrade to their current setup.
