Now Light’s minimalist phone can easily call an Uber

This integration enables users to find pickup and drop-off locations, view fares and ETAs, select trip options, and directly contact drivers. The feature is powered by an integration with Tremp, a service that already offers SMS-based ride booking. Light plans to release its "tool library" SDK this month, inviting developers to expand phone functionality while adhering to the company's philosophy of minimizing distractions. Tremp charges a 10% service fee, with a $2 minimum, though this fee is waived for the first five rides within 30 days of account creation.
