Two configurations are said to be in development: one with two M8 Ultra chips and a larger version with four. Apple is also exploring the integration of Nvidia's NVLink Fusion technology to enhance chip communication within these servers. The project has been underway for about a year, with CEO John Ternus reportedly in favor. The servers are not expected to be available until 2029, and plans are not yet finalized, meaning the project could be canceled.
